Band 2012 Jan

So I was asked to photography a band a few weeks back, and obviously I jumped at the opportunity! So last night I made the trek out for the photo shoot only to realize how incredibly talented they really were!  They were awesome!!! I literally felt like putting my camera down and dancing!! And at the end of my time photographing them, I didn't even want to leave! So here is a sneak peak!

spooky country road trip

As my two week count down begins before starting full time work I thought today was the day I should get into my car and see where I end up! And that place was Windsor, Sydney. Nothing too exciting but as I was blaring some good tunes out of the speakers with the windows rolled down I had a thought, More of a mission or an experiment. To only take photos from the car... a photography challenge! So as I am driving around the weather gets cloudy and dark and I thought YES! Why?? Because as I was driving on the edge of town everything looked spooking and dark! So for those who can handle a little bit of spook and a little bit of country... this is a preview of my version!

Wedding of Victoria and Andrew January 2012

So yesterday I had the grand opportunity to be a second shooter for the amazingly fun and exciting couple of Victoria and Andrew!! What a whirlwind of a day! Victoria was of course a stunning bride and the adoration that Andrew took upon his new wife was truly beautiful! Being able to capture the day of love surrounded by their family and friends was incredible! I give a big shout out to my boss Rebecca Ding for letting me work along side her! So here is a sneak peak of the amazing day!

2012

So 2011 is officially over and what better way to introduce myself to 2012 then to blog about photography! This year I hope to improve my skills, my knowledge and most of all I hope to bring a little bit of art and inspiration into my reader's lives! I also hope that this year I bring out more of the raw and natural qualities of photography rather then the posed look. So what best way to kick start the year but with some black and white images I took today, as I so dearly love black and white photography!I hope that these images convey adventure, curiosity, and rawness as they were taken in the back streets of Newtown, Sydney.
